Green Energy Awards at Green Energy Summit 2008 is the first-of-its-kind ceremony that honors winners across a range of categories in the Green Energy arena. The awards throw the spotlight on trailblazing individuals and organizations in the Indian green energy sector. The awards will highlight success stories that span practices, research and innovation, including corporate achievements, the strongest individual efforts, and the most compelling community efforts in the renewable energy sector. The judging process will culminate in an exclusive ‘awards nite’ with an international stature panel felicitating the awardees. The winners will, undoubtedly, be set on the fast route to broad recognition of their achievements.

Award Categories

Green Energy Awards 2008 will honour outstanding achievements in the Indian green and renewable energy sector. This first-of-its-kind awards ceremony will announce and honour winners across a range of categories.

Green Energy Pioneer

Any organisation, outside the realm of the green and sustainable energy industry, pioneering the use of renewable fuels, heat or power.

Green Energy Innovation

Any innovative new renewable energy device, production facility, project or application.

Green Energy Ambassador

A Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), a campaign, or association that has done most to enhance awareness of renewables.

Green Tech Leader

An IT company that is not only a leader in adopting and developing green technologies, but also applying "green" to its customers portfolio.

Green Energy Region

Initiative or policy by local authorities or regional agencies to promote the adoption of renewable energy in a specific region of India.

Green Energy Industry

The industry participant that has done most to advance Indian renewables and is the pride of the Indian green industry.

Green Energy Champion

An executive, academician, politician, consultant or other individual who deserves recognition in the green energy sector.
